The Photography Festival SAN JOSE FOTO makes an international open call to select photographic projects for its main exhibition to be held from 20 to 23 April 2023 at the different public spaces of the city.

Can be registered those who are 18 years or older of any nationality submitting a proposal within the rules and conditions detailed below.

General conditions

The festival aims to offer a selection of high quality projects from all over the world. The event offers an exhibition platform for emerging and professional artists who use photography as a means of expression.

Individual and collective works can be presented within any photographic genre from conceptual to documentary, expressed in different formats, as a still or multimedia image.

All projects must be related to the central theme of the 4th edition of SAN JOSE FOTO "Territory".

Each artist or group can register more than one work, there is no limit number of proposals, as long as they are sent separately with the corresponding proof of payment for each submission.

PHOTOGRAPHY

• Series of up to 15 images of the same project with the photographs numbered sequentially and the author's name (Eg.Mario_Gomez01) and the folder with the name of the author (Eg Mario_Gomez)

• Brief explanatory text of the series (800 characters max.)

• Short CV (500 characters max.)

• Include a screenshot of the PAYPAL payment or the RED PAGOS Ticket

AWARDS

- The selected artists will be exhibited at the central exhibition of the international festival SAN JOSE FOTO from 20 to 23 April 2023 and made visible on our website on a permanent basis.

- A International PHMuseum - SAN JOSE FOTO award of 2000 US dollars to an author or collective of any nationality with the best project selected from the international open call. The winning project will be featured with a personal interview on the international PHmuseum website.

- A national SAN JOSE FOTO award of 1000 US dollars to an uruguayan author or collective with the best project selected from the international open call. Finally the winning project will be featured on the Uruguayan WHAT Foto Magazine website.
