The MONTPHOTO International Photo Contest, one of the long-standing photography competitions in Europe, has announced the opening of its 27th edition. A classic, which was born and stills held in Lloret de Mar, Capital of Catalan Culture for 2023, and in this edition, coinciding with the event, it will promote its activities linked to values and commitment to photography and nature.

Many of the photographers who join their Community in MontPhoto, in addition to enjoy great benefits, they join efforts for conservation, education and awareness of environmental issues.

In this edition, the development of the Changing Planet contest continues, a project created in collaboration with the international platform "Changing Planet: Network for Young Photographers", based in Berlin, which, taking advantage of all the resources of MontPhoto, will be held alongside the official contest.

MontPhoto also ensures its commitment to conservation with a donation campaign in favor of NGOs working on environmental issues, seeking not only to offer a platform to give them visibility but also to promote its financing.

As every year, the contest opens its call til April 30th through its website. The prizes are awarded the first weekend of October at its headquarters in Lloret de Mar within the celebration of one of the most exciting nature photography festivals in Europe.

The contest has the recognition and endorsement of the most important national and international photographic organizations.

A deep look that documents the diversity, the beauty, mystery and fragility of life on our planet.
