Submit your photographic work by May 18th for a chance to impress an expert panel of international judges. The grand prize? A staggering €3,000 and an exclusive opportunity to showcase your talent at Cortona On The Move international photography festival in 2025.

Cortona, April 10, 2024 - Cortona On The Move Award is a free, open- theme call now in its 3rd edition and proudly presented in collaboration with LensCulture. The competition beckons photographers worldwide to participate and, in the previous year alone, garnered over 2000 entries.

This initiative is designed to nurture and promote the growth of photographers' artistic development and production endeavors, aligning with COTM's enduring commitment to fostering original and innovative visual storytelling. The call for submissions opens today and closes on May 18th, welcoming both completed projects and works in progress that explore diverse perspectives on contemporary themes.

The top 10 finalists will be unveiled and featured on the Cortona On The Move and LensCulture websites, with their creations showcased from July 11th to 14th in Cortona during the festival's opening days. The winner of the first prize will not only receive €3,000 but also have the opportunity to exhibit their winning project at Cortona On The Move festival 2025. Additionally, the second and third runners-up will have their works showcased on the website of LensCulture, a global collective of photographers and industry professionals.

Last year's winner of the prize was Valery Poshtarov with the project "Father and Son", which will be exhibited at Cortona On The Move this year.

The jury responsible for selecting the works consists of Jim Casper, Editor-in-Chief and Co-Founder of LensCulture; Federica Chiocchetti, Director of Mbal Musée des Beaux Arts de Locle; Kublaiklan, Curators of Cortona On The Move; Veronica Nicolardi, Director of Cortona On The Move; Laura Sackett, Creative Director of LensCulture; and Paolo Woods, Artistic Director of Cortona On The Move.
